Animal rights protest, KTM

In Tihar, also popularly known as Diwali, Nepalis celebrate the presence of animals such as cows, dogs and crows and ox, dedicating the four days of Tihar for their worship.
As we are in the midst of Tihar, I want this post to shed some light to the ill-treatment and abuse of animals.

The photos, above, are from a protest in Kathmandu, Nepal; animal rights activists demonstrating against the unethical and inhumane killing and injuring of cattle in Surkhet district where 25 cows and oxes were found dead and almost 100 thrown off cliffs, whereas In Khotang district, almost 200 dogs were poisoned, beaten to state of unconsciousness, and even buried alive...

Photos taken in Maitighar Mandala, Sep 2019.
